Balances
HarpFi issues balances per currency to customers, enabling you to manage funds across different currencies within your account. Each balance represents a separate currency holding that you can use for payments.
Balance Types
Every balance has two key components that track your funds:
Available Balance: The amount of funds that are immediately available for use in making payments and other operations. This represents the liquid funds you can access right away.
Ledger Balance: The total amount of funds in the balance, including both available funds and any funds that may be temporarily held or pending. The ledger balance reflects the complete financial position of the balance.
The difference between your ledger balance and available balance typically represents funds that are temporarily unavailable due to pending transactions, holds, or other processing activities.
Balance Status
Balances can be in one of two states:
Active: An active balance is operational and can be used for making payments, and other financial operations. This is the normal state for balances that are in use.
Inactive: An inactive balance is temporarily disabled and cannot be used for transactions. Balances may be set to inactive status for various reasons, such as compliance requirements or account restrictions.
